Prince Harry and Meghan Markle took the world by storm when they announced they were dating. Soon, news surfaced about the royal engagement with Markle seen sporting a stunning rock on her finger. Barnard Westwood is responsible for designing the royal invitations as it has been for years. The card is said to have been made on English card with American ink, printed in gold and black featuring the Prince of Wales’ three-feathered badge in the center with gilded edges.
Unlike every tradition in the book, the dynamic duo are stepping outside the box and opting for something unconventional and inspirational in exchange for wedding gifts. Instead of any wedding favors, the couple has instead asked their guests to donate to the charities of their choice.
The Royal Cake
Violet Bakery’s Claire Ptak is in charge of preparing the royal cake. A lemon elderflower cake that will incorporate the bright and delicious flavors of spring in the mix.
Philippa Craddock has been deemed in charge of the royal flower arrangement that will feature peonies, roses, foxgloves, branches of birch, beech and hornbeam from the gardens of Windsor Park and Crown Estate.
The service is reported to be carried out by the Dean of Windsor after which the Archbishop of Canterbury will officiate the couple’s vows.
The Guest List
Unlike any royal weddings in the past, this royal wedding will feature approximately 600 guests which is a relatively small crown compared to William and Kate’s 1900 guests and the Queen’s 2000 guests back in 1947. Since the Prince of Wales is not directly in line for the throne, it is not crucial for him to invite diplomats from all around the globe. 200 of the couple’s close friends and acquaintances have been invited for an after party at the Frogmore House.

Stepping out of the box again, Markle decided to dump the idea of having adult bridesmaids and instead sought the help of children including Prince George and Princess Charlotte and eight other children notably Prince Harry’s godchildren, Markle’s goddaughters and her best friend’s children.
